Neuter
Neuter was first published in 1998 and was nominated for Alt-X/Hypertext Award in New York in the same year. Design as a whodunnit for the web, it combined events on the London Underground with the day to day writing of the content. The website was designed by Mike Fairclough at i2 designs and ran online from 1998-2000. It was cited as part of the first wave of web based writing and attracted over 1 million readers. The content has been included in Digital Writing Programmes at Minnesota and Santa Barbara Universities. It has kindly been reproduced here with the permission of the author.
